Many of us tend to corral our stray cords by wrapping them around the appliance. DO NOT DO THIS! Especially on a hair dryer. Over time, the PVC coating can wear down due to this twisting. Then, the exposed wires can cause a short circuit and overheat during use. If you smell a burning odor, turn off the dryer, and unplug it immediately. Toss the appliance! To keep your cords organized, loop them like you would do to a garden hose. Be safe.
