Tip of the Day: Ward Off Poison Ivy Rash

If you come in contact with poison ivy or poison oak, or think you did, the best solution is to pour undiluted castile soap directly on the affected area and scrub with warm water. There are plant oils in the castile soap that when combined with the warm water will be very effective at removing the sticky, sappy oil in poison ivy that cause the rash. Here’s one to try: Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap.
