Tip of the Day: Planting Roses? Peel a Banana!

If roses are your passion and you’ve acquired a few new bushes for your garden, before you plant them, drop a banana peel in the hole before inserting the plant. As the peel disintegrates it delivers potassium to the roses which will help ward off common fungus that damage roses. You’ll have a pretty bunch to pick!
