It’s so easy to use a power washer on your patio, but you can actually damage your pavers by forcing them apart with the strong gush of water or strip the wood on a deck. Instead of causing future repairs, use an oxygen bleach cleaner (found in the laundry aisle of the supermarket: Oxi Clean, Tide Oxi, etc) mixed according to directions. Pour this over the area you want to clean and let soak for about 10 minutes. Then, using a stiff brush or broom, scrub away the grime and rinse off with a hose. These cleaners are non-toxic so they won’t hurt your garden and your patio will gleam!
