Get a jump on your next dinner party or plan ahead for the next holiday by readying your silverware. As we known, it tarnishes over a period of time. Instead of using harsh, messy chemicals to restore the shine, make your own by making a solution of 1 tablespoon of white vinegar per cup of milk. Submerge your dull flatware for about 15 minutes, remove, and rinse. The milk’s fatty acids and the vinegar’s acetic acid will dissolve the tarnish, restore the shine, and make it look almost like new again.
