Tip of the Day: Preserve Left-Over Wine for Cooking

After your last dinner party you have an opened bottle of wine leftover that you plan to use in that new recipe you cut out of the magazine. You can keep it from spoiling until you’re ready to use by adding 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil to the bottle before storing. The oil will sit on top of the wine creating an airtight seal that slows down the flavor-sapping oxidation. You might want to label it so no one thinks it’s for drinking!
