Tip of the Day: Salt Stains on your Boots & Shoes?
As happens, when we wear our leather and suede boots and shoes outdoors, especially after a snow storm, we come home with white salt stains on them. Not only do they look ugly but the chemicals can ruin the leather. To clean these blemishes mix 2 parts of water with 1 part of white vinegar. Using a clean cloth gently rub the areas and you should be able to remove all the stains. To prevent this in the first place, rub leather footwear with olive oil before leaving the house.
