If your humidifier has been working overtime, it’s a good idea to disinfect the filter. Do this by placing it in a bucket that’s filled with equal parts of white distilled vinegar and warm water. Allow your filters to soak for at least an hour then squeeze dry and return to the humidifier. This works for air conditioner filters too.
