‘Tis the season to sit around the fireplace with a hot cup of coffee. We can never have enough easy ways to clean the object of our attraction. After the fire has cooled, save those coffee grounds and sprinkle them, while still damp, on the ashes. Let this sit for about 5 minutes. Then sweep up. The grounds will weigh down the ashes and eliminate dust!
