It’s that time of the year that your fireplace gets a workout. It also leads to a build up of creosote in your chimney. This can be a fire hazard. You can rid this danger with the help of a few dried potato peels (about 3 potatoes worth)! These must be dried for at least 48 hours because damp peels won’t work. Simply burn these peels in your fireplace along with your regular firewood and they will help strip away the layers of creosote from the chimney.
