The leaves are falling and that means fleas are abound! To ward them off your pets without resorting to harsh chemicals, combine 2 cups of boiling water with 2 tablespoons of dried rosemary. Cool thoroughly. Pour into a spray bottle (pick one up at the Dollar Store) and saturate paper towels with this mixture then rub on your pet’s fur. Mist this solution over carpets, pet beds, and any furniture your pet may have visited (always test in an inconspicuous place to make sure your furniture fabric is color safe). The scent of rosemary is a natural flea repellent. Repeat each week as needed.
