If you want to rid your fruits and vegetables of harmful toxins sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda over them and rub in with your fingers. Then rinse off. The baking soda is abrasive enough to scour away microscopic dirt and pesticides from the skin without damaging it. You can buy baking soda at the Dollar Store to save money.
